A Strategic Boost for HR Early Payment Innovation

Elevating HR Excellence for a Japanese Client

The client

Established in 2016 and headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, the Client stands as a premier provider of corporate HR management solutions. As of 2022, their services have earned the trust of over 26,000 stores in the country, with a notable count of registered accounts surpassing 680,000.

The challenge

In an effort to enhance the competitiveness and distinction of their current web-based HR solution within the industry, our client set out to introduce a new feature called Early Payment. This feature enables part-time employees to easily request their wages in advance, providing greater flexibility for both employees and company managers.

However, the client faced challenges in finding a software development partner with expertise in constructing financial applications, a solid understanding of the business, and the ability to deliver a cost-efficient solution tailored to their specific needs.

The Approach

Shortly after the Client approached Weaver, the team commenced the process by scrutinizing the client’s existing system. Following the assessment, the Weaver team thoroughly reviewed the technical requirements and the current platform's architecture, proposing enhancements to improve system performance and enable it to handle the stable load of the new feature. This required careful planning within the first week.

Weaver Software assembled a team of project managers, business analysts, and senior software and QA engineers. The project management approach was established following standard Agile practices, with efficient tasks and feedback loops organized in each sprint.

Weaver's engineers utilized Reactjs to implement the front end for the new Early Payment feature, introducing two sets of features for both managers and employees. Additionally, Weaver's back-end developers employed Golang and their integration expertise to integrate the client's platform with a trusted payment gateway in Japan.

Overall, the project demanded meticulous planning with no room for error. As the development cycle concluded, the team conducted User Acceptance Testing (UAT) two weeks before the feature release.

Over five months, the Weaver team efficiently implemented new functionalities to assist the client in keeping up with market demands and meeting investor requirements.

The Result

The Weaver team has successfully provided our client with a comprehensive and modernized web feature, ensuring smooth integration with both the current platform and an external Fintech solution. Our client expressed satisfaction with the quality of our services. The newly implemented feature is now available to the client's platform users, contributing to the attraction of more registered accounts. Weaver has established itself as a trusted development partner for the client, and ongoing discussions for future collaborations are in progress.

This project underscores Weaver's ability to consult with clients to identify the optimal combination of technologies, meeting specific needs within designated deadlines and budget constraints.
